Our newest antenna, the all purpose scanner antenna
This rugged all band scanner antenna is designed with the portable scanner user in mind. Simply screw it onto a base, connect the BNC connector to your scanner and start listening. Perfect for camping or other outdoor activities. Good for use on the balcony of an apartment or hotel too where a permanent type antenna might be frowned upon.
This antenna is built of 1/2" copper pipe snuggled inside 3/4" PVC pipe for protection. There is a 4:1 balun also inside the pipe for good protection against the elements. We still use copper despite its cost because of its excellent conductivity. This antenna is supplied ready to go with 3/4" pipe threads on one end. It comes with connector and about 30 feet of high quality coax. Note: THIS ANTENNA IS FOR SCANNER USE ONLY!! IT WILL NOT SUPPORT TRANSMITTING.
